Independence Matters staff member Harry Barron is raising funds for a patio area at Rosewood Community Hub to help make the garden more accessible to customers with limited mobility.
“We want our older people to be able to sit outside and enjoy the garden when the weather is nice. Some of them use wheelchairs and walking aids which is difficult over grass and a nice flat patio area would make it safer and easier for them access the garden so they can benefit from the fresh air and enjoy the flowers, plants, birds and squirrels.
I’ve been growing my hair long for a few years now and plan to cut it short on 29th June at the Hub. In addition, my cut hair will be sent to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig for a child, boy or girl with cancer or a condition where they have lost their hair. Each paving slab costs less than a fiver and your donation will go towards making this a reality.”
Harry has already raised £200 through sponsorship, but would really appreciate any amount you can give to this worthwhile cause.
