Two become one

Our new Rosewood centre opened its doors to customers for the first time on 16th June.

The opening is the culmination of a journey that started two years ago with the decision to combine our former Riverview and Rosewood Hubs. Following many months of hard work the two have now come together to create a new centre for dementia care in our eastern region.

The new centre is called Rosewood and sits alongside our Suffolk Road Hub in Great Yarmouth.

Rosewood team leader Corrine Smith said of the move;

“Everything has been found a home and we’ve even managed to plant part of the gardens. Our customers have settled in and it already feels like home!”

The move has also been appreciated by our customers who’ve given us some great feedback:

"We love the décor and calm feeling to the place which is airy and bright"

"Absolutely wonderful - a hundred per cent"

"Everyone is very kind and it is very nice here”.

We’d like to congratulate everyone at Rosewood on the successful move and say thanks to the following for their help in making it happen:

  • Gills builders, in particular Steve Jolly and Stuart - for their work inside the building and putting in garden paths for our customers.
  • Ollands Ltd (removals) - for doing such a great job moving us to Suffolk Road from two separate locations.
  • Andrew Harrison and his team at Norfolk County Council, as well as Stephen Briggs and Malcolm Streatfield at NPS.

And finally thanks go to Anna, Jerry, staff and customers already at Suffolk Road Hub - for their help and understanding throughout the process, including the disruption caused by the building work.
