Helping out in the garden at Holt Community Hub

Hello, Jason here with another blog for you.

Today my supporter and I went to the Holt Community Hub to help out in the garden by weeding flower beds.  It was quite sunny and warm and I really enjoyed it, although it did come over very black and I heard the odd rumble of thunder. It was so nice to see some familiar faces again at the Hub after such a long while.

We sat and ate our lunch in the sensory garden, luckily the storm clouds passed us by. After lunch we helped to move some plants from the potting shed into a polytunnel. They are growing so many lovely vegetables at Holt and have obviously been working very hard in the garden.

On our way back to Sheringham we popped into Holt Garden Centre. We had been told that they have done a lot of renovation work on it during lockdown so went to see for ourselves. It looks very different and they have done a lovely job. They have a vintage Ford Car inside, nearly 100 years old, surrounded by lovely plants and hanging baskets in such beautiful colours.

Once home it was time to relax by watching Heartland and having a game of scrabble and guess what... I won for the first time!  Nice way to end a nice day.

It is great that places are now open, but we still need to keep safe.

Bye for now.

Jason
