Our customer blogger, Jason, takes us on a fossil hunt

Hi all, Jason here again.

Recently my support worker and I took a trip to West Runton beach to hunt for fossils. It is something I have always wanted to do and this beach is famous for its fossils.

It was a lovely sunny day but very windy and when we got there the tide was out so that meant there was lots of rocks pools to explore. We saw many rocks of all different shapes, sizes and colour, but after about two hours of searching we didn't find a single fossil this time. But on our way back I could not believe my luck when I looked down and there lying in the sand was a tooth from some sort of mammal I should think. It was fang shaped and very black and my best find so far! I really look forward to doing this again and hopefully I will be luckier next time.

So it was back home to the warm for some lunch and a well-deserved hot drink ready to face an afternoon of trying to beat Carol at Scrabble.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

Love Jason.
